1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (19 oz) can kidney beans, un-drained
1 (14 oz) can tomatoes, un-drained and chopped
1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce
1 small green pepper, chopped
2 tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
- Brown the meat, onion and garlic in a large pot for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in all the other ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
